  2. 2. PurposeO Turn a glossary that you have created into a quiz for the students to complete.O Great for the end of the Moodle lesson, when a glossary has been created.
  3. 3. BenefitsO For Teachers: O Simple way to turn your glossary into a quiz. O Holds students accountable for words added to the glossary. O Can be created as a multiple choice or short answer quiz.O For Students: O They have an ongoing collection of vocabulary words they know they are accountable for knowing.
  4. 4. Pros ConsO Teacher: O Teacher: O Builds quiz from work O Not simple to create already created. first time, although gets easier after that.O Student: O Have building list of O Student: words that they are O None accountable to know.

  7. 7. O Go to: Step 1 O BLOCKSO Choose: O Export Glossary to Quiz
  8. 8. Step 2The Export Glossary to Quiz block will nowappear.
  9. 9. Step 3 (a)Go into the Configuration1. Choose your glossary2. Choose order for exporting the quiz3. Select number of words to export (blank for all)4. Choose your question type (more on slide 3b)

  11. 11. Step 4O Go to the Export Quiz BlockO Click on Export entries to fileO Then click on: -Export entries to fileO Save in a known location

  13. 13. Step 1O You are now back to your main Moodle pageO Follow the steps to create a quiz (as we have done before)O Add Activity…Quiz
  14. 14. Step 2O Name your quizO All other options are same as creating a quiz
  15. 15. Step 3O Now that your quiz is created, just click on the title you just created.O In this case, Sample Quiz, then click EDIT at the top
  16. 16. O Click on IMPORT at the top Step 4O Choose Moodle XML formatO Category: Your quiz name / “Sample Quiz”O Import from upload: Click BROWSE O Find your saved file, Upload, then Continue
  17. 17. Step 5O Click QUIZ at the top.O Click SELECT ALLO Click ADD TO QUIZ
  18. 18. Step 6O This screen now appears:O You can now re-arrange questions or make any changes (on the left hand side)
  19. 19. Step 7O You can now click PREVIEW and see how the quiz will appear.O You can edit your quiz if needed.O You have now completed, Export Glossary to Quiz!
