  • 9. Project Plan• Provide a Multi-purpose Court to disadvantaged schools in the greater Johannesburg area that have no sport facilities: – Identified by Department of Sport and Recreation & Department of Education • Identified by Sponsors

Endorsements• Minister of Sport and Recreation: “School Sport has a valuable contribution to make in the development and transformation of South African society” Fikile Mbalula• Gauteng Minister for Education: Barbara Creecy was guest of honour at the hand over of our prototype to Sefikeng Primary (June 2010)
  • 11. RCM Role• Engaged with Principal, staff and learners• Engaged architects to donate design• Raised funds for construction• Oversee the completion of project including project management• Handed over to school
  • 12. RCM Role• Fundraise for each school as a new project including obtaining sponsors• Oversee construction and delivery• Handover• All Rotarians provide their services as volunteers – all funds raised go directly to projects with no management fees

Court Specifications• All weather textured surface non-slip surface in wet and dry conditions• Unaffected by extreme temperatures – Remains comfortable underfoot• Colours do not fade• Built in drainage slope which ensure quick run-off• Long lasting and low maintenance• Used for multiple sports – Volley Ball – Tennis – Basket Ball – Badminton• Cost +-R160,000.00
