SNIFF UR M8Z CREATING A BIG BANG FOR A NEW MOBILE SERVICE

THE CHALLENGE
Sniff, aka ‘Social Network Integrated Friend Finder’ , aka a mobile phone service that allows you to find your friends via their mobile phone signal , needed a big UK launch campaign.
They wanted a huge buzz and mass awareness to drive trial of the service via standalone and its Facebook application.

WHAT WE DID
Just like ‘poke’ and ‘MSN’, we added ‘sniff’ to the Internet language.
We created a news campaign around ‘sniffing out your mates’ and utilised a Multimedia News Release (MNR) that incorporated broadcast footage and photography.

HOW IT WORKED
We created a Multimedia News Release (MNR) shooting b roadcast quality footage which brought Sniff to life in a real way, provided access for press and offered instant content for broadcast, online and even radio based media .
A spokesperson interview and comment from a reputable industry commentator were uploaded into the MNR – alongside the press release and images. We sold this in and let the MNR do the rest of the work!

RESULTS We secured well over 100m opportunities to see and spanning a broad spectrum of media titles inc national, tech, lifestyle and broadcast. We generated 21,000 instant visits to sniffu.com and 5,000 downloads of the Facebook application. Now that’s nothing to be sniffed at!
