    (6) Essay «Why KommandCore Is Like This» - Presentation Transcript

    1. Why KommandCore is like this Passage from «Some Essays About Management» essay 6
    2. Why is KommandCore like this?
    3. To answer this question correctly let’s remind the history of our system development
    4. Relying on our experience of participation in different projects and managing them we came to realize that it’s possible to manage projects having just a pen and a piece of paper at your fingertips
    5. But why do I have to work in more complicated way than just using a pen and a piece of paper?
    6. Why do the existing software products and web-services designed for project management make my work more difficult than it could be?
    7. Where are simple, free management and communication?
    8. It’s natural that all these questions required some adequate, in our understanding, IT-platform for project management
    9. We needed in such system which would have let us manage projects quickly, dynamically and easily
    10. What have we seen on the market?
    11. System ideology, set of tools, interface of software and web-services often reflect the way of thinking which is more typical for IT technical specialists
    12. As if these products were created by technical specialists and for technical specialists
    13. We came to realize that there is no product made by managers and for managers on the market!
    14. We found our niche As far as we realized that, we didn’t begin to develop such system just for our personal need, but decided at once to initiate the separate innovative project for development of such a web-service and its launching on the market
    15. 1 What have we wanted to give to KommandCore users?
    16. We wanted our users to find esthetic delight in gracefully functioning service, admiring visual beauty
    17. To make you switch on and feel easy, cozy, free, equal when our product using
    18. To make what we created comfortable and useful for you, let KommandCore to make you life easier
    19. And that’s not occasional that we began with words about beauty which we were eager to create and to bring it to our users
    20. One science-fiction writer describes a very revealing scene where there is a dialogue between a well-known fashion designer and one of the protagonists of the novel
    21. “ - Eccentricity, as a rule, serves for talent concealment, …, here you, maestro, have told, that throughout your life you have tried to retain beauty in this world. But why did you use the word «to retain»? Isn’t it because beauty and harmony appear more and more denied by this world, and their place is occupied by eccentricity, kitsch, anguish. And isn’t it the duty of any real artist to resist to it with all his strength? ” And not to follow the bad taste giving the ball…
    22. Just think what our eternal haste results in, our aspiration to do something quickly, to earn quickly?
    23. We have no time left for seeing the beauty around us; we have no time for creating such beauty around us, to create it for others
    24. And more and more insipid, callous, faceless things, objects, pictures, people surround us
    25. We cannot live so, work so, do our business so
    26. We want to retain beauty in this world very much
    27. We want you very much to receive real esthetic pleasure from working with our KommandCore service, because it’s important for us
    28. 2 What we wanted to save the users of KommandCore from
    29. First of all, we wanted to save KommandCore users from insets!
    30. All information in web-services is often split up through a standard set of insets, for example such insets as «Letters», «Chats», «Milestones», «Files»
    31. In reality they are filters, through which people try to structure and simplify a project
    32. How should one keep this system and not tear the integral logic of the project with filters?
    33. To get rid of such pre-determined filters is a variant For this reason we have decided to get rid of insets
    34. Moreover, that’s why all information streams in our service are adjusted in accordance with requirements of a concrete user
    35. And also we wanted to save you from control
    36. The project is always teamwork of participants equal in rights, their joint movement to the objective
    37. 3 What possibilities we put in the KommandCore service
    38. We have created the system for management
    39. For simple and agile management
    40. The key element of the system intended for that is Kommand Line
    41. Any information coming from us can be managerial influence!
    42. That is why, creation of any informational object within the system (a letter, a task, etc.) is perceived as the managerial influence and is carried out through Kommand Line
    43. We implemented in KommandCore simple and logical approaches to information processing
    44. How do we work with information?
    45. We constantly determine what we want to see, and what we do not
    46. It’s important for any person to manage independently and distribute information streams, to filter information by his own rules
    47. We are convinced that information centralization should take place in a person
    48. If to speak about information display, so in our understanding all information objects are equivalent
    49. We do not do distinguish between files, tasks, letters, etc. They are absolutely equivalent objects, and all of them are in the same information field and re-displayed
    50. The contextual factor and polysemy of informational objects have led to the refusal of information storage (first of all, files) in folders and insets
    51. In our system you won’t lose any object Smart folders and Marks will help you to avoid that
    52. That’s just one part of possibilities we built in our system
    53. 4 Besides, the platform for coordination of networked and network-centric organizations
    54. It’s natural that while system developing we founded KommandCore on network and network-centric logic of functioning
    55. The world already lives and functions in the network format
    56. The same logic penetrates into the business world more and more and starts to be used in it
    57. Exactly for this reason in KommandCore we have built a reserve oriented to the future: a set of possibilities and tools for management of networked and network-centric organizations, possibilities for project management in the networked logic
    58. 5 Afterword
    59. Anyway, it’s an early beginning And this book is not written up to the end yet
    60. We’ll become more mature, we’ll be communicating with you; our perception of reality, our understanding of life will change together with you
    61. KommandCore will grow and change together with it And we’ll be finishing this book
    62. Thanks for your attention! P.S. You got to know the passage of our book «Some Essays About Management» The book is available in whole on the page «Vision» of our site www.kommandcore.com
