2011 Molo Academy Top Performers Luncheon

  2. 2. Every year for the last five years, the group ‘Friends of Molo Academy’ has beeninvolved in a project to raise the standards of education in our former school. We havebeen hosting the Top KCPE and KCSE performers to a luncheon at a 5-Star Hotel.This year’s event was held at the Tribe Hotel, Gigiri and was attended by alumni, topperformers, teachers and invited guests.The luncheon has been a great motivator. The school’s performance has gone fromgood to great, to exceptional. 2010 performance 2011 performanceOver the next few slides, we show you what happened.
  3. 3. Renowned rally ace Ben Muchemi graced the event. Diagnosed with stomach cancer, his doctors gave him a 6% chance of survival. He has proved them wrong by not only living past their expectations, but also going back to full time : rallying. He was here to teach the Top Performers very important lessons: 1. Appreciate life, and appreciate what you have, 2. Make the most of what God has given you, 3. Never give up (even when all odds are against you!!
  4. 4. Standard Chartered Bank’s Head of HR for Consumer Banking, Olivia Oloo, gives tips to the Top Performers on: 1. What employers look for 2. How to survive the interview Olivia Oloo gives a present to the top performer Mr. Mwangi, Molo Academy Principal, tells us the school’s achievements. The school was ranked 1st DistrictBrenda Waka, Director, Sapani Holdings Limited School in 2010 gives her speech on career and personal examinations. development
  5. 5. Mr. James Ngeta, MD of Abbey Comfort Inn and RegionalRed Cross Representative, who has been a Friend of MoloAcademy for 3 years now, and has twice visited MoloAcademy, talks about entrepreneurship. The attentive audience.
  6. 6. But it was not just about the talks… this was a luncheon, remember? 1. The ‘Food Manager’ unveils the dishes 2. The line of delicacies 3. Not sure if chicken is only reserved for Generals, but lets eat and see..
