For the last four years, the Friends of Molo Academy has been hosting the top performers of Molo Academy to a five star hotel in a bid to improve the school's performance.

This year's event was held on 15th May at the prestigious Tribe Hotel in Gigiri (the only Eastern African Hotel to be voted in the Hot List).

As part of the luncheon, the top performers were treated to motivational and career talks about Entrepreneurship by alumni and other renowned business people

      • Over the last four years, Friends of Molo Academ y has been involved in a project to raise the standards of education in our former school. We have been hosting the Top KCPE and KCSE performers to a luncheon at a 5-Star Hotel.
      • This year’s event was held at the Tribe Hotel, Gig iri and was attended by alumni, top performers, teachers and invited guests.
    TOP: The Top Performers arrive in style at the Tribe, Africa’s first Hotel to be named in The Top 100 Best Hotels in the World
  • 3. This is the team that raised our mean score to 10.33 in 2009 from 9.61 in 2007. Molo Academy sent 35 students to campus, up from 26 in 2007 Last year, the school was ranked 6 th in the country alongside national schools. TOP PERFORMERS IN ATTENDANCE

  • 5. ANDREW KANYUTU - owner of AVL Capital Ltd. BETHOVEEN KARIMI- Multi-business owner with interests in communications, transport and constructon CALEB NDEGE – CEO, Outsourced Accountancy Ltd. TONY KARANJA is the MD and CEO of, an Internet Service Provider, through which he has offered to host the Molo Academy website for free!   • 6. JACKSON KAMAU – CEO, Ngesh Ltd. SAMUEL NGUGI – MD, Rohan Technologies, an IT specialty company CALEB OLUOCH, who works with NTV, introduces his fiancé Josephine (The two were married in a colourful wedding in November) HELEN AYAGA,(r) a lawyer, makes a grand entrance with her sister ISABELLA (l) who is the Deputy Head, International Health Relations NORAH NJERI – Forex Manager at Fidelity Bank KINYANJUI KOMBANI – In Charge of SME Branch Sales at Standard Chartered Bank and writer CORNELIUS LITUNDA – Credit Manager at Equity Bank ALUMNI IN ATTENDANCE
  • 7. PAULINE KAMAU – Administrator, Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa, presents a congratulatory poem to the participants. She is also an entrepreneur and talked to us about entrepreneurship MR. JOSEPH MWANGI, Principal, Molo Academy, shares his thoughts on the present and the future of the school. ANDREW KANYUTU addresses the Top Performers on ‘Entrepreneurship’. He worked for a leading bank before quitting to start his own business THE MOTIVATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL TALKS
  • 8. MR. JAMES NGETA, Director, Abbey Comfort Inn Ltd and a host of other businesses, tips the top performers on ‘How to survive in Kenya’ Mr. & Mrs. Ngeta have been Friends of Molo Academy and have committed to paying school fees for two needy students. He built a business empire from scratch, having started by washing cars in Nairobi . He is now Chairman of many boards and is the Nairobi Regional Coordinator for Kenya Red Cross. As the CEO of Sketch Careers, EDWIN MAGANJO is one of the youngest CEOs in the country. He is only 19. His company has won many awards and gained worldwide recognition. He spoke about Entrepreneurship to the Top Performers. THE MOTIVATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL TALKS
  • 10. All Alumni are proud of Molo Academy and we will continue to support these initiatives As a parent, I am happy that my son went to Molo Academy and not anywhere else! The school has many development projects, and we look forward to even more support from our alumni Am glad I studied hard! This was a great chance for us to see our old students, some we have not seen in over 10 years We are proud of Molo Academy . Just let us know how we can support! WHAT THEY SAID
