  • 3. Changing is improving. But it is painful, stressful and risky. Resistance to change
  • 4. Four techniques to motivate clients to change 1st Tracking adoption 2nd Dramatizing causality 3rd Sustaining ownership 4th Ongoing measurement, and reporting of results
  • 5. 1st Technique “Tracking adoption” • Once implemented, change is not always embedded in an organization. →Keep tracking activities frequently like Dolphins Not Whales
  • 6. 2nd Technique “Dramatizing causality” • The goal is to create a mental model of a solution’s place. →Use examples, stories and visuals. ex. IKEA’s model rooms
  • 7. 3rd Technique “Sustaining ownership” • When workers leave, their knowledge, experience, customers and clients also leave. →Transfer the experiences and knowledge.
  • 8. 4th Technique “Ongoing measurements and reporting of results” • Without them, it’s hard to grasp the actual situation, making it hard to improve. ex. Boss Management – Tracking activities(1st) – Emotional intelligence – Extravert and introvert
  • 9. Summary 1st Tracking adoption 2nd Dramatizing causality 3rd Sustaining ownership 4th Ongoing measurement, and reporting of results Many organizations have problems with the way they tackle change, so consultants help them to be capable of sustaining change.
