      • AYF 7 will be held as part of the
      • PAC 8 (PALT 2009) conference
      • in Manila, the Philippines
      • from December 1 - 6, 2009
    4. WHAT
      • a 1-week international youth event that brings together college-aged young people from across Asia for academic seminars, intercultural workshops, social events and interpersonal exchanges
    5. WHO
      • college-aged students and youth from countries in Asia:
      • Korea, Japan, Thailand, Russia, China, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Vietnam…
    6. WHY
      • to promote international understanding, intercultural communication and leadership skills through the medium of English-as-an-international-language
    7. WHERE
      • AYF 7 will be held at the Manila Hotel as part of the PAC 8 conference in Manila, the Philippines
    8. WHEN
      • AYF 7 is a 6-day event which will be held from:
      • December 1 - 6, 2009
    9. SCHEDULE
      • Nov. 31 (Mon) Early arrivals fly into Manila
      • Dec. 1st (Tue) Main arrivals, Welcome, Orientation
      • Dec. 2nd (Wed) AYF Day 1 Excursions in Manila
      • Dec. 3rd (Thu) AYF Day 2 Seminars & workshops
      • Dec. 4th (Fri) AYF Day 3 Seminars & workshops
      • Dec. 5th (Sat) AYF Day 4 Presentations, Closing
      • Dec. 6th (Sun) Depart for home
    10. COSTS
      • AYF participants pay two costs:
      • roundtrip travel expenses to the AYF
      • a participation fee of US $200
      • (to help cover AYF program, meals and accommodation expenses)
    11. SCALE
      • to keep its unique family-style atmosphere, participation in AYF 2009 will be limited to 80 students from throughout the Asian region
