The Romans Road to Salvation By: Bishop Jerry F. Hutchins Kingdom Now Ministries www.kingdom-now.org
What is the Romans Road to Salvation? The Romans Road to salvation is a way of explaining the good news of salvation using verses from the Book of Romans. It is a simple yet powerful method of explaining why we need salvation, how God provided salvation, how we can receive salvation, and what are the results of salvation.
I Am A SinnerThe first verse on the Romans Road tosalvation is Romans 3:23, "For all havesinned, and come short of the glory ofGod." We have all sinned. We have alldone things that are displeasing toGod. There is no one who is innocent.
I deserved to be PunishedThe second Scripture on the RomansRoad to salvation, Romans 6:23,teaches us about the consequences ofsin - "For the wages of sin is death; butthe gift of God is eternal life throughJesus Christ our Lord." Thepunishment that we have earned forour sins is death. Not just physicaldeath, but eternal death!
How can this be?The third stop on the Romans road tosalvation is Romans 5:8, “Goddemonstrates His own love for us, inthat while we were yet sinners Christdied for us.” He has made it possible.
How Can I Receive It?The fourth stop on the Romans Road tosalvation is Romans 10:9, "that if youconfess with your mouth Jesus asLord, and believe in your heart that Godraised Him from the dead, you will besaved." Because of Jesus death on ourbehalf, all we have to do is believe inHim, trusting His death as the paymentfor our sins - and we will be saved!
Are you sure that means me?The fifth stop on the Romans road isRomans 10:13, "for everyone who callson the name of the Lord will be saved."Jesus died to pay the penalty for oursins and rescue us from eternal death.Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, isavailable to anyone who will trust inJesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Take the Roman’s Road to Salvation. Accept Jesus today as your Lord and Savior. He is waiting on you with open arms.
