  • 2. Evaporation occurs when the sun heats upwater in rivers or lakes or the ocean and turnsit into vapor or steam. The water vapor orsteam leaves the river, lake or ocean and goesinto the air.Stage 1-Evaporation

  • 4. Condensation occurs when water vapor orsteam in the air gets cold and changes froma gas back into liquid, forming clouds.Stage 2- Condensation

  • 6. Precipitation occurs when so much waterhas condensed that the clouds get heavyand water falls back to the earth in theform of rain, hail, sleet or snow.Stage 3- Precipitation
