  • Optimised Solutions for Power and Control in mines Arc fault safety in MV drives Arc faults can cause most severe danger for personal  MV Drives Requirements:  Standards   (MV) drives specific standards partly address arc faults,  Extremely low probability of occurrence Standards are based on the principle arc fault prevention  ABB field experience: IEC and NEMA do not require arc fault resistant panels Therefore ABB recommends to use IEC 62271-200 for arc fault testing.
