THE PERFORMANCE PORTFOLIO OF SUCCESS A brief snapshot of Performance’s portfolio of achievements demonstrates experience and a track record of success in discovery, developing and delivery of marketing solutions that cut through and management programs that deliver results for consumer businesses, associations and events. Marketing Management – Rally Australia Pty Ltd In September 2008 arrangements to secure the running of Rally Australia (an Australian round of the FIA World Rally Championship), an event that had been conducted in Perth from 1988 to 2006 was announced by the New South Wales Government. The event was to be conducted in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. Before the end of 2008 the event organisation started to become bogged down with various environmental issues, local government requirements and the preparation of an extensive development application. As a result there had been little focus of event organising on the crucial commercial activities of the event. This remained the case until late February 2009 – just 6 months from the running of the event. Performance Management and Marketing was commissioned to handle all aspects of the event marketing and commercial activities including: · The creation of a marketing plan for the event; · The development and delivery of corporate hospitality strategy; · The development and delivery of a ticketing plan and strategy; · The development and delivery of a media partnership program and an advertising plan; · The development and delivery of a sponsorship program; · The control of title and support sponsor leveraging and activation programs for the event specifically for Repco and Events NSW; · The creation of a tourism and destinational marketing profile; · Control of digital media including digital advertising; · Control of the national event broadcaster relationship; So as to ensure the success of the event. Not only were all of the critical areas and challenges met successfully, they were done despite the limited timeframe for achievement and with limited financial resources. The requisite creativity, media planning, and media partnerships delivered crowd attendances that greatly exceeded original company estimates by and allowed Rally Australia Pty Ltd to meet and easily exceed all KPI’s related to event attendance and international and out of state visitation to the event. Revenue from all marketing activities combined exceeded budgeted targets by 50%. Performance delivered these marketing results for the event and the event retained 10% of its budgeted marketing expenditure as a direct result of the strategic management of the total expenditure budget. Rally Australia in it’s 20th year “2009 Repco Rally Australia” was the most success rally event ever conducted in Australia. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & MARKETING Pty Ltd

Project Consultant - Federation Internationale de l’Automobile Cost centers in Formula 1 motor racing were considered to be at unacceptably high levels placing the very fabric and future of the sport in some jeopardy. The Paris based world controlling body of motorsport – the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (the FIA) had established that current levels of expenditure on motor racing activities were both unsustainable and unnecessary. · Performance was commissioned by the President of the FIA to work with senior FIA executives and Deloite & Touche LLP (London) to review, critique and advise on strategies and policy development to achieve significant reductions in the costs associated with competing in Formula 1 motor racing. Performance conducted a comprehensive review of the cost centers in Formula 1 and made recommendation to the FIA on strategies and policies that needed to be enacted to significantly reduce costs in the sport. Chairman & Chief Executive - Touring Car Entrants Group Australia (Controlling shareholder of the V8 Supercar Australia Championship Series.) TEGA owns 75% of the V8 SuperCar Championship Series. It is the group of competitors who have racing entitlements in this major Australian motor racing championship. The TEGA teams are extremely competitive both on and off the race track. Professional motorsport is a big money business and with this comes all of the stress and strain of top level professional sport. A significant change took place in the sport in 2003 with the introduction of a new license agreement that was required to enable teams to race in the Championship. Performance Management and Marketing was contracted to provide specialised management and administrative services to TEGA so as to create an appropriate sporting and administrative framework for the company and participant teams. Performance provided General Management responsibilities including: · Budgeting and financial reporting; · Ensuring good governance practices were properly applied; · Day to day management; · Administration of the racing contracts; · Technical and homologation matters; · Staffing and resourcing; · Tender evaluation and contract negotiation; · Review and development of appropriate sporting, judicial, operational and technical regulations to facilitate the conduct of the Championship; · Providing research, counsel and recommendations on policy positions to the Board; · Implementing Board policy and decisions so as to provide growth and stability in the business. The company principal of Performance was installed as Chairman of the Board from 2003 to 2007. Performance oversaw the period of time in the Championship where the value of licences required for participation increased by 240% as a direct result of stable management and increases in returns. Performance pursued the financial best interests of the shareholders including the effective management of the company and the distribution of revenue generated by the category’s competition. The period 2003 to 2007 was to become the most harmonious working relationship between the competing Teams in the history of the Championship. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & MARKETING Pty Ltd
  8. 8. Consultant General Manager – Australian Amusement Leisure and Recreation Association Inc. The Australian Amusement Leisure and Recreation Association is the peak national body representing the amusement, leisure and recreation industries. It is primarily comprised of major theme park operators, transportable and fixed amusement providers, adventure attractions and amusement centres. It is a not for profit, membership based organisation. By the end of the 1999/2000 financial year it was suffering some financial stress. Membership was in decline and apart from the conduct of its annual conference and exhibition was beginning to struggle for relevance in the eyes of its membership. The Board decided that some change of culture and restructuring was required. Performance was commissioned to provide a comprehensive range of management services for the benefit of the association, to review and make recommendations on the policies, procedures, and services offered to members with a view to increasing the relevance of the association and to ensuring its ongoing viability. Performance changed the structure of the annual conference and trade exhibition so as to expand the education program, inform the membership on matters of relevance and create a financially more attractive result from the exhibition. In response to the public liability insurance crisis that followed 9/11, Performance recommended the creation of a two pronged strategy for AALARA that resulted in the creation of AALARA Risk Management Pty Ltd and AALARA Insurances with underwriting from Munich American Reassurance so that members could access both suitable industry specific risk management programs that qualified them for AAA rated insurance. Performance provided the following services for the benefit of the association: · Day to day management; · Research and preparation of proposals to Government; · Research and development of strategy for presentation to the Board to meet the challenges confronting the association and to ensure its long term viability; · Preparation of all Board papers, minutes and records; · Development of a business case for the creation of AALARA Risk Management and AALARA Insurances; · Database management; · Accounts to trial balance; · Conference organising including the development of plenary sessions, workshops, panel discussions in conjunction with the Conference Organising Committee; · Trade show and exhibition concept, management, sales and execution; · International affiliate program with IAAPA. The management and marketing programs and policies recommended and initiated improved the trading and overall financial position of the association. At the end of 2003 AALARA recorded a trading profit approaching a quarter of a million dollars. The insurance and risk management programs created provided a quality insurance facility for them at times when the insurance market was severely challenged. International Association Of Amusement Parks And Attractions (IAAPA Inc) International Representative - Australia and New Zealand · Representing Washington DC based IAAPA Inc. - the world’s preeminent amusement and theme park industry association in the Australian and New Zealand regions including providing membership services, and regional event organising. · Responsibility for the organising of the 2003 IAAPA Summer Meeting and exhibition.   9. 9. TOCA Australia Pty Ltd Organisers of the Australian Super Touring Championship. Performance was contracted to manage and operate all aspects of the Australian Super Touring Championship which was conducted between 1994 and 2001 and which included: · Overall management and organisation of the Championship and its associated events; · Direct control of all sponsorship and corporate sales function of the championship; · Marketing and advertising of the Championship and specific events within the Championship; · Retail ticketing; · Commercial operations and activities of the Championship and its events; · Sporting elements of the Championship; · Event development and management; · Financial control and the achievement of company established budgetary targets; · Broadcast activities including the program production and negotiation of broadcast contracts with free to air and pay TV broadcasters. In addition to the Championship activities of the company, Performance also: · Took a key role with the organising of the Bathurst 1000; · Negotiated arrangements for, and lead Australian teams to compete in the Macau Grand Prix event on two occasions. Every year of operation of the Championship was conducted with a significant budget surplus. At the conclusion of the Championship, delivered in excess of $1 million end of Championship profit to the shareholders. Marketing Manager – Gold Coast Motor Events Co. Pty Ltd (Indycar Grand Prix) Performance Principal Kelvin O’Reilly was appointed as Marketing Manager for Gold Coast Motor Events (1992 to 1994) to develop and manage the commercial elements of the Gold Coast Indy event with full responsibility to the CEO for all commercial and marketing activities including: · Advertising, promotion and marketing for the event, · Brand development and management, · Sponsorship sales, · Public Relations, · Ticket sales, · Corporate hospitality inventory development and sales, · Sponsorship activation and fulfilment, · Market research for the four day IndyCar Grand Prix event on the Gold Coast in years 3 and 4 of the event. · Management of the event sales and promotions team specialising in national and local sponsorship sales. · Development of community, national, state, local business and general commercial support for the event. · The senior management team for the event was comprised of the CEO, the CFO and the Marketing Manager. The senior management team had responsibility to the Board for the development of all logistical, operational and marketing plans for the event including amongst other things volunteer recruitment, community consultation and event operations. · Post event analysis and review and subsequent scope and planning for the next event. · In the two years of my tenure at the event we increased corporate sales and sponsorship by · 17.5% (1992-1993) and · 26.5% (1993-1994.) · Event attendance increased by 34% from 1992 -1993. · Total event revenues increased by 25% from 1992 -1993.   10. 10. My T Brite Lights Performance was responsible for the creation and launch of My T Brite Lights to the Australian market place. Strategically we sought to diversify the income streams of the company from its consultancy base to a compatible eCommerce operation. The success of the move is without question. My T Brite Lights operates in a small but growing and highly lucrative niche within the market that was identified by Performance Management. Performance, through exhaustive research recognised that the Christmas decorating phenomenon was at the bottom of a steep growth curve. We recognised that the emergence of green lighting technologies in the form of LED lighting technology in combination with the commencement of local growth in computerised control of festive light displays was a combination that would open a niche lighting technology market that was largely untapped and un-serviced in Australia. The key to success would be the timely development and bringing to market of a range of LED Technology products specifically developed with this primary market in mind. Performance has handled ever y aspect of the My T Brite Lights program including: . Conceptualising the product including determining the competitive elements within the market and the opportunities for exploitation; . Trademark design and IP registration, . Product development and specification, . Sourcing the most highly credentialed and market relevant manufacturers, . Product range extension, . Branding, . Packaging, . Import control, . Ecommerce and distribution, . Website design, . SEO, . Shipping, distribution and logistics. The launch of My T Brite Lights in Australia for Christmas 2008 was an immediately success and exceeded all expectations. Performance’s ongoing development of the product range, continuing SEO refinements, rigidly applied quality service standards, emergent digital marketing techniques in combination with traditional retail techniques through the ensuing season have resulted in sales growth in excess of 250% in the second year.
