    • Introduction to Kaylen Saunders
    • Military family
My father was in the Air Force while I was growing up, and my brother-in-law and sister have also since joined. Moving often is part of our genes.
    • My husband
Thankfully, anywhere I move now I get to take my best friend with me. I was blessed to marry Jono Saunders on May 6, 2006.

    • Underwater Hockey
One of the activities Jono and I both enjoy is playing underwater hockey weekly with the UF Club team.

    • Sports
We do enjoy other sports, too, including soccer, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, tennis, disc golf, surfing, and swimming.

    • Desserts
Though I certainly enjoy sports in their own right, another reason I play sports is so I get to eat more. I love food, and I am most passionate about desserts.
    • Creativity
Baking desserts is one form of creativity I engage in, but I also enjoy expressing myself through activities such as teaching, photography, and making cards.
    • Staff Trainer
I am thankful that my current job allows room for creativity. I work in Learning & Development in UF’s Department of Housing & Residence Education. I teach staff training classes as well as manage our department’s recognition programs.

    • The future
Though I love my job, in less than a year Jono and I will hopefully both be graduating from UF. At that point, our direction in life is up in the air.
    • God
In times of uncertain paths, we are so blessed to be in the hands of a faithful God. We trust in Him wherever He may lead us next.
