  • 2. I am going to give you a list of effective ways that you can use to promote your business. I recommend that you try a few of them and test your results to see which ones are performing well for you in your particular niche.
  • 3. Content marketing I believe that writing content and distributing it online to high traffic websites and your own website is a very good way to promote your online business.
  • 4. By writing content you are enabling people to understand more about your business and more importantly, learn more about you as a person and whether you are the kind of person that they would be happy doing business with.
  • 5. Here are a list of sites that you can add content to: - blogs - squidoo - help pages - article directories - Facebook - forums
  • 6. You can also turn your written content into a slide presentation and use videos to promote your business. Or turn your content into a PDF and upload it to PDF sharing sites. Or turn your articles into an audio with you talking through the article and upload it to podcasting sites.
  • 7. This is the great benefit of using content to promote your business. You are able to leverage it and reuse it in different formats.
  • 8. Social bookmarking To increase your visibility it is very easy to bookmark the content that you have written. I would recommend only using a few bookmarking sites as this is what Google recommends. StumbleUpon Digg and Reddit all have high traffic.
  • 9. Social media Use social media to make people aware of content that you have written. The best one for this is twitter as it enables you to write a quick update message for your content. Google plus and LinkedIn are also very good for increasing your visibility.
  • 10. Make sure that you get involved in groups or follow people that have similar interests as your business.
  • 11. There are plenty more places online that you can use to spread the word about your business but it is important that you only try a few sources at a time.
  • 12. This is because it becomes very hard to test and to track where the majority of your visits are coming from and this is a critical part of your business if you are going to optimise and become highly effective.
