  • General mood board, colors and feel, colored lights, futuristic
  • Like a simplified recording studio version
  • Manipulating images on a screen in front of you, gestural interface
  • Taking your picture inside a booth
  • Playing with effects of photos
  • Not the typical upper Manhattan museum goers
  • Pictured: Experience Music Project, and Bach to Rock
  • Pictured: Berklee College of Music, Global Kids
  • Inspiration for area where Loop compilations are floating around. Touch one to view it.
  • People in the lobby can view Loop compilations floating around and touch one to watch it.
  • Log in and retrieve a loop that you worked on online at home. Or start a new account. If you have an existing loop online that you want to add to in the recording studio, you can send it to a studio. It will wait on cue.
  • We liked this feature at Sony Wonder Lab. After loggin in (and sending your online Loop compilation to a studio, if desired), a countdown clock will tell you how long you have to wait for each studio. While waiting in the lobby, you can play on the kiosks (in the LOOP online), or watch other people’s LOOPs on the lobby screen.
  • You can find your finished loop composition on the lobby screen. Share it with your friends. Show it to those waiting in line.
  • Once the user arrives in the lobby of IN THE LOOP, they can access the IN THE LOOP website through the kiosks. Here they will be asked to “join us” by making a user account. This way compositions that are made on the site can be sent and saved in the personal library on the website.
  • While waiting, users also have the option to create a “mini loop” composition with limited effects and library of prerecorded sound and images. When they are done they can download the mini loop to the physical IN THE LOOP space where they can add to it with a wider selection of effects and sounds and images. They also have the benefit of using the full body capture screen.
  • The user will find finished IN THE LOOP compositions in the “MY LOOP” section of the website, accessible once the user logs into their account. Here they will have video display of their projects made in the physical space, categorized by date. The user also can access their drafted and completed compositions in their personal library where they can continue to work on drafts in the “studio” MINI LOOP app or enter their published compositions to any of the open challenges hosted by the website.
  • Users can enter either IN THE LOOP or MINI LOOP compositions respectively in their own separate challenges. On “The Challenge” page, users can see open challenges, a short description of the challenges and icons of submitted challenges. If they click on the challenge title, they will be taken to a page that has the rules and regulations as well as all the submitted entries. Winners of previous challenges are showcased to the IN THE LOOP community. Their ranking and composition rating is significantly impacted by their win. And since they are highlighted, they are exposed to more users who could continue to “like” their projects, possibly sending them to the TOP TEN Chart toppers list.
  • Inspiration for contests, top rated loops, new loops posted.
  • JPG influenced the look and feel of challenge pages. We like how not crowded the challenge pages are. There is just a short description of the challenge rules and entries and that’s it.
