OUR MISSION: The Shenandoah RC&D Council is a non-profit, locally-directed program that promotes economic growth and environmental quality. RC&D programs strive to have an impact on resource issues by bringing together individual efforts to address larger regional concerns. The Shenandoah RC&D Council sets area goals and objectives, and brings together partners, technical assistance, and financial resources to complete grassroots projects that help us meet these goals. OUR GOALS: Managed Growth and Land Protection Community Development Natural Resources Conservation Flex Fencing Sustainable Agriculture An important, ongoing project at Stregthening Council operations Shenandoah RC&D is “Flex Fencing.” Forestry Managment We help farmers install fencing that prevents livestock from entering and polluting streams.
