Story time this week is The Ghost Eye Tree by Bill Martin Jr & John Archambault

After the story it is time for some SPOOKY Science – BOO Bubbles!

I talk about matter to the kids – solids – liquids – gases
and what they are, then I tell them we are going to see examples of all 3 today.

I got this COOL Boo Bubble maker from Steve Spangler Science, just add water (liquid)

And put some dish detergent in a cup…

Add some dry ice (solid) to the jar (make sure to wear gloves)

Then watch the gas rise from the jar….

I dip the end of the tube into the liquid soap and use the cover on the jar to control the gas, and out of the tube comes a BOO BUBBLE (one just popped here!)

The best part about this story time – the faces of the kids when they see the “smoke” and bubbles!
