  1. 1. British Board of Film Censors is an organisation funded by the film industry that is responsible for the age certificates for films in the UK.Movies are certified so everyone can enjoy a movie knowing whatit will contain so they can avoid being offended or caused any form of psychological harm e.g. being scared. It is also a good idea because parents can control what their children see so they’re not witnessing any content, such as sex or horror, that the parent sees to be inappropriate for the childs age.
