    • It is good to keep your slides very simple and to limit the amount of material you put on a slide so that the slide has information that is relevant to your message
    • You should be consistent with the colors you use for your background
    • It is also more professional looking if you keep a consistent font
    • Also note that red letters tend to bleed into the background
    • DO NOT TYPE IN ALL UPPERCASE, IT IS DIFFICULT TO READ
    • Use images that support your topic. These could be pictures, graphs or charts.

    • Use large fonts so that people in the back of the room can read them
    • Avoid strongly patterned backgrounds
