it can be about other people’s interests

it can be serious

it can be superﬂuous

it can be stylish

it can be smart

it can be small

it can be signiﬁcant

and best of all, it can be you

what can you do?

you can solve your own problems

you can solve other people’s problems

you can make your own life better

you can make other people’s lives better

you can empower yourself

you can empower others

you can make change now

or you can lay the foundation for change later

basically, your actions can have an impact on the world

all you need is a committed mind...

and a computer

what else offers this?

because you can

because you control your own barriers to entry

because you want to be stimulated

because people want you to succeed and to support you

because you like to follow and create trends

because you understand that stereotypes are stupid

because you see the opportunity

because it’s the future and you want to be in it

and by the way...

spacious hubs and sleek incubators are the new garages and dorms

manageable and ﬂexible schedules are the new all-nighters

slow, organic and healthy is the new pizza, chips and coke

clean and clothed is the new boxers

demographical diversity is the new young, white, single dude

beneﬁts

incubate with intelligent, interesting and inﬂuential people

never get bored

work across industries

lead and decide

bootstrap (or heelstrap) your business

work for yourself

work on what you like

work when you like

work where you like

work from home

work with your family

be rewarded and recognised

be you

you don’t have to code, but

real freedom comes from learning how to

start with small steps

read and research

friend and follow

watch and listen

converse and ask

code to learn

code to build

code for fun

experiment and explore

make things and break them

release things to a community
