The Business Professionals of Santa Cruz County invited me to be a speaker for their first talk of 2013. My talk and slides address social media marketing and the continued emphasis on growing mobile phone use, especially for social media and even more specifically, Facebook.

And if your promotion includes Facebook, there are ways to make your Facebook marketing better targeted for mobile consumers. There are 500+ million people who use Facebook's mobile application and that number is growing fast. This class will be an OVERVIEW (not a detailed how-to class) of the mobile market, Facebook on mobile, and how to optimize your Facebook page for mobile.

Karen Kefauver is a social media consultant and freelance journalist who has taught dozens of classes on how businesses can use social media for marketing their goods and services. She specializes in teaching Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, blogging (and more) in the Santa Cruz and Bay Area. With an extensive background in writing and public relations, she also offers social media consulting services, gives speeches on social media and works as a freelance journalist, specializing in stories on endurance sports and adventure travel.
