Braich Equestrian & Addictions Luxury Rehabilitation Centers
Executive Summary (March 1, 2015)
HELP FOR WEALTHY ADDICTS
Concerted efforts to make treatment for substance abuse both accessible and affordable to all, and
partially payable by insurance companies, has in fact had a negative result for some. The ultra-wealthy who
suffer with addictions of all kinds, have very few suitable places to go for their individualized special
treatment. Our significant research has turned up that this is true for wealthy addicts around the globe.
Common complaints among the wealthy regarding their own treatment for “addiction use disorders”
(AUD) have to do with:
• maintaining anonymity/confidentiality;
• entering a treatment facility that they feel is fitting or meets their standards;
• entering a treatment facility where they themselves feel as if they fit in;
• not being involved in all-encompassing modalities (for instance: insight oriented therapies,
cognitive behavioral experiences, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), one-on-one intensive
psychotherapy (applying theories from Adler, Freud, Gestalt, Jung, and others), traditional
medicine, medicinal herbs and other natural remedies, neuropsychological testing, cranial-sacral
therapy, PET-CT scan (Positron Emission Tomography-Computerized Tomography), eye
movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), chiropractic services, homeopathic
remedies, acupuncture, nutrition, exercise, Tai Chi, various forms of yoga, Pilates, wilderness
leadership experience, aromatherapy, hypnotherapy, light & sound neuro-therapy, transcranial
magnetic stimulation (TMS), meditation, recreational therapy, vocational training, virtual reality
simulation therapy, etc.) as a part of a therapeutic regimen, and which offset boredom and yield
positive outcomes; and
• not having the advantage of intensive laboratory workups and biochemical testing;
resulting in the (the all too often) neglected tailor-made nutritional regimens for each
patient. Some of the world’s leading experts believe a patient’s body chemistry is the key to
both getting and staying “clean”. Despite the aforementioned; our rehabilitation centers will
never lose sight of the fact that environmental factors are instrumental in perpetuating
addictions.
For these very reasons, wealthy people suffering from addictions find it challenging to embark on the
journey of recovery. The Braich Group of Companies seeks to change this circumstance by providing
1
treatment services to this AUD market, as addiction does not discriminate and “privilege” does not have to
be a barrier toward recovery. We believe it is important to eliminate the psychological, physical, and other
barriers toward healing AUD.
THE FOUNDER’S EXPERIENCE
The founder of The Braich Group of Companies (Erwin Singh Braich) has ample personal experience
which was gained through his colorful and event-filled life with respect to close family and friends and their
struggles with addictions. An overwhelming majority of his family and friends did not respond as favorably as
hoped to a variety of rehabilitation programs. This spawned a lifelong and steadfast appetite whereby Mr.
Braich sought to keep abreast of all breakthroughs in the science and art of healing modalities. As destiny
would have it, the Braich family has enjoyed a long history with thoroughbred horses and associated
activities, beginning with the interests of Erwin’s father Herman Singh Braich Sr. (1911-1976). Also, we have
significant research and feedback from a wide range of professionals and substance abuse specialists, all of
which indicate ours is a brilliantly crafted substance abuse treatment model.
Individuals who are accustomed to excellence in all areas of their lives expect and demand
something different. One should not have to sacrifice their standard of living on their journey to wellness.
We strive to set the standard for treatment of addictive disorders in a private luxury setting, and by utilizing
the latest “cutting edge” modalities that are custom tailored to meet our guests’ needs. Our luxury addiction
treatment facilities have virtually no limit to the type of care, education, nutrition, and therapies that we will
custom tailor and provide.
With the individual needs of our guests/clients in mind, we will offer an environment focused on
transformation. We believe that all addictions take away the essence of one’s being; hinder the ability to
choose; and deprive the addict of their ability to act in accordance with their own values. Therefore, we
strive to restore the whole person to wellness while the individual is experiencing any one or more of a vast
range of treatment and recreational or leisure activities.
Addiction use disorders (AUD) are defined as substance abuse and dependence, arising from using
“too much, too fast and/or too often”. Addiction Abuse is defined as a recurring pattern of high-risk using
that creates problems for one’s self, for others, or for society. Adverse consequences can also arise from a
single instance of hazardous addictive substance use. Addiction Dependencies, typically considered to be
synonymous with drug dependency and alcoholism are complex phenomena characterized by persistent and
intense drug and alcohol-seeking; which results in a loss of control over drug usage and drinking; a
preoccupation with drug use and drinking; a compulsion to use drugs or drink alcohol and the inability to
stop; furthering dependence.
THE SIZE OF THE PROBLEM
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO)
recently came to similar conclusions about the toll taken by excessive addictive substance abuse. According
to the CDC, excessive addictive substance consumption is the number three cause of preventable deaths in
the United States. The CDC has found that 53% of Americans have at least one or more close relatives who
have a drug or alcohol dependency problem. The WHO has also ranked addictive substances third among
preventable risk factors for premature death in developed nations globally. In the U.S. alone, problems
2
related to the excessive and addictive consumption of drugs and alcohol, costs American society an
estimated $225 billion annually. Based on The National Institute of Drug Abuse, if tobacco is included this
cost balloons to over $600 billion.
There is little doubt that addictive substance abuse is a serious health problem worldwide. With the
continual rise in the accumulation of individual wealth around the world, and the fact those with fame and
wealth have no advantage in receiving treatment for AUD; a definite market for luxury substance abuse
treatment centers needs to be filled.
OUR PLAN TO FILL THE NEED
With this said, The Braich Group of Companies seeks to purchase within the next four months, 8-10
properties throughout the U.S., turning them into world class substance abuse treatment facilities for those
who can afford the best. Among the many services we provide, our luxury treatment facilities will include
equestrian amenities, as we have learned that equine therapy has proven to be beneficial in the recovery
process. Ongoing dialogue with the world’s leading specialists in the use of horses for therapy only further
validates this modality. The benefits of therapeutic riding have been dated back to 17th
Century literature,
where it is documented that it was prescribed for neurological disorders and low morale. More recently the
Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) has provided multiple studies clearly reflecting
the benefits involved in riding activities.
During equine therapy the addict develops a relationship with the horse while tending to its basic
needs. The horse’s needs include feeding, grooming, leading and exercise. Shockingly, what we have found
is that most equine therapy programs do not include “riding”. We intend to change this by including learning
to saddle and ride the horse. We also plan to incorporate overnight camping and wilderness excursions
utilizing horses.
The estate properties already under ownership or on our short list all lend themselves to this
treatment model as they range in size from several hundred to several thousand acres. Also, our Equine
Treatment Program is performed under the strict supervision of our professional staff and highly-trained
Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) certified professionals, for both the safety of our
guests, staff, and horses.
Most state licensing requires an approximate 7 to 1 ratio between number of patients per qualified
professional or treatment specialist. With this fact in mind, along with other thorough cost benefit analysis,
our optimum capacity appears to be 21 patients maximum, at a given time. However, our ratio of patients
to service providers is actually reversed and a far more personalized approach whereby we have more service
providers than patients. This number of employees will exceed the job creation criteria as set by the U.S.
Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for its investor immigration visa EB-5 Program.
Based on studies already completed it is commonly known that a patient stay of 90 to 120 days, or
longer is much more likely to bring desired results rather than the more standard 30 days or less. In a stay of
short duration, patients barely have time to become detoxified and focus on treatment before they’re getting
ready to return home. Due to the fact that we will provide an unprecedented wide range of therapeutic
services or individualized custom tailored activities, patients are not likely to become bored. In fact, many
specialists believe boredom is a direct result of depression. Furthermore, one of the most challenging areas
3
that we will focus upon is post discharge support and planning. Under certain circumstances, this will involve
one or more of our staff members traveling back home with a client for ongoing care and reinforcement.
Modeled after some of the most prominent and world famous luxury addiction treatment and
rehabilitation centers in existence today, we will accept patients from all over the globe. The admission
process will begin with our private jet aircraft picking up the patient, and orientation beginning with our staff
during transit. Compared to the costs for inpatient addiction treatment at The Kusnacht Practice in Zurich,
Switzerland, which ranges from $79,850 to $110,900 (USD) per week, we believe our billings will not meet
resistance. Costs for treatment will vary depending on service options chosen and ultimately the
requirements of one’s treatment plan. The applicable rate may vary too; depending on the healing
modalities involved, the length and frequency of the treatment, and when and where treatment is provided.
It should be noted there is a 6 to 9 month waiting period to receive treatment at The Kusnacht Practice.
Filling all private rooms in each facility for 90 days will require admitting 84 patients per location per
annum. Even at 85% occupancy only a total of 71 patients annually per luxury treatment location is needed.
Last year the World Health Organization found that more developed and wealthy countries had higher rates
of drug dependence. An estimate of 200 million addicts exist worldwide. Filling private rooms from such a
large population to draw from is not expected to be a problem.
Based upon our unique business model and given our costs for operating luxury addiction treatment
centers, each facility has the potential to yield approximately $55,000,000 (USD) annually in gross revenue.
Annual pre-tax net income from just one facility is expected to be $20,000,000 to $25,000,000. This range of
taxable income is also dependent on the amount of straight-line (non-cash) depreciation of asset acquisition,
including all extraordinary capital costs in each unique treatment center. In other words, a luxury estate and
equestrian property costing $60,000,000 with an anticipated life of 20 years would result in a $3,000,000
annual depreciation, whereas, a $25,000,000 property with an anticipated 25 year life would result in only
$1,000,000 annual depreciation.
Through a joint venture (in several but not all of our facilities) with The Kusnacht Practice (TKP) we
will provide the exclusive property location, in the U.S., including the desired equestrian component which
TKP, by its own admission, is unfortunately lacking. In addition, we would provide all operating capital, and
TKP would provide its “branding” resulting in immediate name recognition, along with its many years of
knowledge and expertise creating the gold standard of working with wealthy addicts. This will ensure that
we immediately become the premier luxury addictions treatment franchise available anywhere in the world.
TKP will also bring:
• its marketing capabilities;
• knowledge regarding hiring of proper clinicians and personnel;
• ability to design and establish “holding environments” for wealthy addicts, as once their
treatment of choice has been removed they must be “held” in a safe but also conducive
therapeutic setting continuing the trust that has been established with the client; and
• training of staff so that they may become “agents of change” rather than controlled and
directed by wealthy patients as their “servants”.
4
Most important, The Kusnacht Practice has agreed to share its exclusive biochemistry laboratory
software and technology, or proprietary knowledge, they use to create beneficial results that no one else has.
This proprietary knowledge has been proven to work with wealthy addicts, and is a primary marketing factor
for these patients both entering therapy and remaining engaged while in treatment.
Another luxury addictions treatment center, The Sanctuary, located along Byron Bay, in Australia has
also shared much information. They are also a candidate for joint venturing. It has been revealed that there
is an extensive waiting list at The Sanctuary, as well.
COMPLEMENTING OUR EXISTING IMMIGRANT INVESTOR EB-5 PROGRAM
Each of our luxury addictions treatment centers will be added to the existing Braich Group of
Companies EB-5 Program, as well. These facilities are an important, however smaller, segment of our stellar
EB-5 Program which includes several green community developments incorporating up to 450 containerized
homes per community. The commercial anchors attached to the green developments include indoor water
parks, an indoor ski resort, a motion picture studio, jet aircraft manufacturing, containerized assisted living
and seniors’ residences (which are a fast changing demographic in the U.S.), world class medical spas, charter
schools, hotels, retail shops, and restaurants.
Due to the fact of incorporating the above mentioned projects with our Group’s stand-alone health
insurance coverage we have already obtained commitments for in excess of 4,500 EB-5 slots at $1,000,000
per immigrant investor. This number is limited due to only 10,000 allowable EB-5 slots for the current fiscal
period. We anticipate the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will increase the allowable
number of investor immigrant visas at some future time. Much lobbying toward this goal is already
underway in Washington D.C.
As a result of The Braich Group of Companies’ intended investment of nearly $5 Billion into the U.S.
economy over the next 18 months with the creation of 45,000 jobs, we are confident that federal, state, and
county approvals for licensing of each of our luxury addiction facilities will occur in a timely manner.
Our plan is to resell these luxury addiction treatment and rehab centers to newly created corporate
entities consisting of 60-80 EB-5 foreign investors per entity, upon obtaining requisite government approval.
This translates into a resale price of between $60-80 million per facility, which after deduction of appropriate
profits is expected to provide operating capital and funds for improvements, expansion, and further
development of each property. For foreign investors seeking to gain a Green Card, as well as, earn a return
on investment (ROI), this is a win-win circumstance as provided by this multi-billion dollar, addictions
treatment market.

It has been revealed that there is an extensive waiting list at The Sanctuary, as well. COMPLEMENTING OUR EXISTING IMMIGRANT INVESTOR EB-5 PROGRAM Each of our luxury addictions treatment centers will be added to the existing Braich Group of Companies EB-5 Program, as well. These facilities are an important, however smaller, segment of our stellar EB-5 Program which includes several green community developments incorporating up to 450 containerized homes per community. The commercial anchors attached to the green developments include indoor water parks, an indoor ski resort, a motion picture studio, jet aircraft manufacturing, containerized assisted living and seniors’ residences (which are a fast changing demographic in the U.S.), world class medical spas, charter schools, hotels, retail shops, and restaurants. Due to the fact of incorporating the above mentioned projects with our Group’s stand-alone health insurance coverage we have already obtained commitments for in excess of 4,500 EB-5 slots at $1,000,000 per immigrant investor. This number is limited due to only 10,000 allowable EB-5 slots for the current fiscal period. We anticipate the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will increase the allowable number of investor immigrant visas at some future time. Much lobbying toward this goal is already underway in Washington D.C. As a result of The Braich Group of Companies’ intended investment of nearly $5 Billion into the U.S. economy over the next 18 months with the creation of 45,000 jobs, we are confident that federal, state, and county approvals for licensing of each of our luxury addiction facilities will occur in a timely manner. Our plan is to resell these luxury addiction treatment and rehab centers to newly created corporate entities consisting of 60-80 EB-5 foreign investors per entity, upon obtaining requisite government approval. This translates into a resale price of between $60-80 million per facility, which after deduction of appropriate profits is expected to provide operating capital and funds for improvements, expansion, and further development of each property. For foreign investors seeking to gain a Green Card, as well as, earn a return on investment (ROI), this is a win-win circumstance as provided by this multi-billion dollar, addictions treatment market. 5
