When a heart is stepped on, broken

friends & family surround. They mean well they rally round.

They shake their heads so happy you will be and say:

"T here are plenty of fish in the sea. "

Don't be sad, they are right.

before you load the bait, wait. Yet before you set off into that good night -

Before you throw your line,

Know what it is, you want to find 'cause not to burst a bubble, not to tell a lie,

what's underneath all this... (sigh)

is neither always playful, nor faithful.

Be wary of those with a wandering eye.

Pretty can kill, the spineless stings.

Not all of them will have wings.

Stay clear of loners they will drag you down.

Do your best to find a clown.

Don't settle for those whose world is a bowl. Trust me, that'll soon grow old.

The ordinary's only a snore, the edible's quite a chore,

the ugly's just a bore. Toss back the immature.

Watch out for those who bite, forget the ones who're full of spite.

Run from those that roam in packs.

Alas, some are just plain hard to catch: the cut above the rest

and those who'd like to build a little nest.

Be kind to freaks, beauty is to each behold.

Avoid the ones who leave you cold.

Angels are few and far between

But, if you're patient, very, very patient and keen,

sit through times rough, or lean,

ignore hot air, hands that go everywhere,

smile at the ones who're fair. And The One...?

Oh, he'll soon be here.
