My Vision…… <ul><li>Technology shall be the central component that serves as a link between all curricular areas and is utilized as a common tool for students and faculty to communicate, collaborate, and construct learning inside and outside the walls of our school. Technology should be the core of instruction and student learning. </li></ul>
  3. 3. How will it all fit together? <ul><li>It should be the goal of educator to provide students with technological experiences that match curricular goals in an effort for students to construct meaning. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Communicate <ul><li>Student to student communication </li></ul><ul><li>Student to teacher communication </li></ul><ul><li>Teacher to teacher communication </li></ul><ul><ul><li>E-mail </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Ning </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Google Chat </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Facebook </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Blackboard </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Telespace </li></ul></ul>

Collaborate <ul><li>Student collaboration in pairs or groups; cross-grade level or perhaps even cross-schools (Pairing up two Geometry students at different high schools). </li></ul><ul><li>Teacher collaboration </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Grade-level planning </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Vertical planning </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Cross-curricular integration (Math teacher collaborating with History teacher on a project for students) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>School-school collaboration </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Using technology to aid in that collaboration (communication element) </li></ul>

How Can the Vision Become Reality? <ul><li>In order to achieve the goals outlined by the vision we must first….. </li></ul><ul><li>Adequate resources (computer access, software, server capabilities, PERSONNEL) </li></ul><ul><li>Teachers must buy-in to the vision </li></ul><ul><li>Teachers must make efforts to be relatively familiar with the technology and its functions (even as they change) </li></ul><ul><li>School effort to train and share ideas relating to integrating technology to the fullest extent </li></ul>
