If you’re reaching out to individual people in your job search, there is a certain etiquette involved. Often, these connections are not as “warm” as your direct connections may be.
Companies can find you as easily as you can find them. Make sure you’re buttoned up before you start your search.

Rss readers Why is this in here? Being on top of your industry is when you’ll excel the most. There is a lot of information out there, both good and bad. The information is all over the place. RSS feeds make it incredibly easy to bring this information into a place where you can easily and quickly consume information. They also act as a source of information to use on all other outposts. Some RSS readers also have additional social networking components (Google Reader)
