Getting to know your way around these reports will make it easier for you to manage your data. This guide introduces you to the following reports: 1. The quick search 2. Fundraising page reports 3. Direct donation reports 4. Payment reports
  3. 3. 1. The quick search The quick search is the perfect tool to use when you're on the phone to your supporters and need to look up a specific page or donation easily. The quick search shows you:  contact details for a specific fundraiser or donation  page and event information  the status of a page – whether it’s active, completed or cancelled  estimated fees  top line figures (amount raised online and offline and Gift Aid)  the payment reference number of individual donations. justgiving.comHow to use reports – the basics
  4. 4. 1. The quick search How to use the quick search 1. Log in to your account. 2. Select Fundraiser name or Donation reference in the Quick search box on the homepage. 3. Enter the fundraiser’s name or the donation reference number and click Search. 4. If searching for a fundraiser, click View summary next to their name. 5. Click View donations at the bottom of the page for a breakdown of donations made to the page. 6.   5. 5. 2. Fundraising page reports Fundraising page reports show information about JustGiving pages set up for your charity. Download a report to find out information about the page including details of the fundraiser. You can choose which pages to include in your fundraising page reports:  Pages created - so you can easily identify and contact new fundraisers about their pages.  Pages expiring - so you know when to thank your fundraisers.  Pages with an event date - so you can see all the pages created for a specific event, the total raised for the event and a participant’s fundraising progress. justgiving.comHow to use reports – the basics
  6. 6. 2. Fundraising page reports How to create a fundraising page report 1. Log in to your account. 2. Click on the Reports tab. 3. Click on Fundraising page reports. 4. Enter the date range and choose to view fundraising pages Created, Expiring or With an event date in that period. 5. Choose the format of your report. 6. Click Create report. justgiving.comHow to use reports – the basics When to contact your fundraisers You can always contact a fundraiser about their JustGiving page, but you’ll need to check their contact preferences in these reports (column M, called Fundraiser further contact) before putting them on your mailing list.
  7. 7. 3. Direct donation reports Direct donation reports show information on donations made directly to your charity, rather than through one of your supporter’s fundraising pages.   8. 8. 3. Direct donation reports How to create a direct donation report 1. Log in to your account. 2. Click on the Reports tab. 3. Click on Direct donation reports. 4. Enter the time period you are interested in — you can choose to see all the donations made to you in the last week, month or year. 5. Choose the format of your report. 6. Click Create report. justgiving.comHow to use reports – the basics Encourage direct donations Add information to your donation page to encourage supporters to make one-off and monthly donations to your charity.   9. 9. 4. Payment reports Payment reports provide you with a detailed breakdown of the payments we make to your charity. We send Gift Aid payments to you every month and we send donation payments directly to your bank account every week (if the total raised is less than £100, we’ll send the payment at the end of the month). Payments reports show you:  individual donations your charity has received  the currency individual donations were made in (visit http://just.ly/other-currencies to find out more about the currency options available on JustGiving)  fundraisers’ details  details of the donor if they have given us permission to pass their contact information on to you (otherwise they will display as anonymous). You can send these donors a thank you from your charity and add them to your database of supporters. justgiving.comHow to use reports – the basics Direct donations The fundraiser data columns in the report are blank for direct donations, as these haven’t been made to a fundraising page.
  10. 10. 4. Payment reports How to see a list of your payments and create a payment report 1. Log in to your account. 2. Click on the Reports tab. 3. Select Payment reports – donations made in British pounds (£) or Payment reports – donations made in other currencies ($). 4. Enter a date range. 5. Click on the PDF icon next to the payment to view the transaction invoice. 6.
