Your charity will need to have it’s own Facebook page Something like this: http://www.facebook.com/reverserett2. You must be logged into Facebook as an individual and not as the charity.3. You will need to be listed as an admin user for your charity’s Facebook page. For more information on this, go to: https://www.facebook.com/help/187316341316631/?q=add%20admin&sid=0k7 17P50zaQXOE1lL4. Your Facebook account will need to have been verified in order to add the developer application – this application is an important part of the process. There are two ways to verify your account, add a mobile phone number or a credit card to the account. This process is explained here: http://www.facebook.com/help/167551763306531/

How to receive donations on Facebook justgiving.comStep 3Set your page tab info• Select the ‘Page Tab’ option only• Page Tab name: add the text which will appear on your new tab i.e. ‘Make a donation’ or ‘Donate today’• Page Tab URL*: add the web address of your JustGiving donation page with ?targetdevice=embed at the end For example: http://www.justgiving.com/rettresearch /donate?targetdevice=embed*• Secure Page Tab URL: add the same web address as above but use https instead of http• Page Tab Image: You can add an image that will appear as the tab icon on your charity’s page so it’s important to pick one that stands out. Click ‘change’ to add an image. You can update the image later once your donation tab has been added. We’ve put together a selection of icons that you can download here: http://just.ly/facebook-icons• Always save changes before moving to next step *You’ll need to use this Page Tab URL again in the next section when constructing your Facebook web address

It’s now timeto add your donation tab to your charity’sFacebook page.To add the tab, you need to create aunique Facebook web address.This is something that you needto construct yourself.To do this, you’ll need your Page Tab URLand your Facebook app idYour Page Tab URL will be like the previous step, something likehttp://www.justgiving.com/rettresearch/donate?targetdevice=embedYou can see where to find your Facebook app ID in the image above – it’s the line of numbers*At this point, it’s a good idea to open up Notepad or a word document as you’ll need to constructthis web address yourself before you use it online.

There isn’t asection on Facebook for you to do this, you’ll need to do it yourself elsewhere first (i.e. Notepad or word)There are 4 parts to your web address.1 and 3 should remain exactly as they appear below, so copy and paste those over. 2and 4 are your own unique pieces of information. The format of your web address should be: 1) https://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id= 2) Your facebook app ID (the line of numbers) 3) &redirect_uri= 4) Your Page Tab URL This is case sensitive, so make sure this exactly matches what you added in step 3For example, if I wanted to add the Page Tab URL of http://www.justgiving.com/rettresearch/donate?targetdevice=embed and myFacebook app id was 169502709807019 I‘d be pulling together the following pieces of information: 1) https://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id= 2) 169502709807019 3) &redirect_uri= 4) http://www.justgiving.com/rettresearch/donate?targetdevice=embedI’d then pull these 4 parts together to form a web address. Using the example above, the web address would look like this:https://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=169502709807019&redirect_uri=http://www.justgiving.com/rettresearch/donate?targetdevice=embed

This should now take you to a page that looks like the image below.2. Next, select your charity’s Facebook page from the drop down box ‘Choose Facebook Pages’3. Click ‘Add Page Tab’4. On clicking ‘Add Page Tab’ you will be taken to your donation page. You then need to go back to your charity’s main Facebook page to see that the donation tab has been added

Click the tab toview your charity’s JustGiving donation pageon Facebook.When you click donate, you may be askedto authorise the JustGiving app and will thenbe taken into the donation process.
