  • Reference job description
  • Provide accomplishment form and task training check list…will be kept on file for each student worker.
  • Specialized training…Explain what jobs require additional training and how that will be conducted
  • Discuss the objective of performance review: to evaluate training success and identify the areas that student workers may need help.
  • Go over the “formalities:” Org chart and contact info, scheduling, reporting absences, using email distribution. Handouts for students to keep.
  • Any questions?
  • Being successful requires learning how to do the job (tasks) and how to do your work (professionalism).
  • Discuss online wiki…where to find it, instruct to read through the wiki and complete the contract.
  • Go over what is on the website, including OPAC so they know how to look something up. (Should we do a separate class to use databases?)
  • Explain what Dewey Easy is and how that fits into their training.
  • This is a tool to keep track of training accomplishments and needs. We keep this on file here for each student worker.
