Question 3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

 1. 1. IPC media and Bauer Media are the two leading magazine publishers in the UK producing the majority of sales and gross profits on the market.
Popular magazines that are published with Bauer Media are:

Grazia
 2. 2. Q magazine
 3. 3. Kerrang!
 4. 4. Mojo
 5. 5. FHM
 6. 6. Heat
 7. 7. Empire

Alternatively IPC media produce magazines such as:

NME
 8. 8. Look
 9. 9. TvTimes
 10. 10. Marie Claire
 11. 11. Nuts
 12. 12. Uncut

More frequently than ever, advertisement is used to endorse target audiences to buy their product whether it be beneficial or not. Magazine industry can be ruthless to the people they aim at in order to get advertisers to pay to be in the magazines, but advertisers will only do so if they feel the magazine attracts the same audience as them.
13. 13.
 14. 14.
 15. 15. The most suitable consumer magazine publisher for my magazine as it has a large male consumer audience reputation and represents 3 other successful music magazines.
http://www.buzzmystat.com/www.bauermedia.com
16. 16. V
From vigorously searching over the internet and looking at how both publishers specialise in particular fields of the market i have decided i would publish my magazine with Bauer Media. Both publishers have individual positives, for example IPC Media have attention mainly on NME in the music genre which generates decent circulation figures and aims at a similar age ranger to mine. However with the similar age range at the same distributor could cause problems rather than being in competition with NME if i was to go with Bauer Media where they have very popular magazines with both genders and specialise in music and know how to attract an audience with Kerrang!, Q Mag and Mojo. In this way they can help me get the most out of my target market and i feel for the distributor this is a niche market they haven't particularly hit yet,
