4. 4. MASTHEAD
The masthead of this magazine changes to fit in with the genre of the movie. This movie is not Bridget Jones Diary as there is not a film magazine which includes Bridget Jones on the font cover. Therefore the font of the magazine changes with the genre of the movie. This time it the colour of the has changed to match the ‘lord of the rings’ theme. the colour of the masthead is red and always stays red in each of the magazines. This is to keep the continuity of the magazine running throughout each issue that the magazine is released.
5. 5. MAIN IMAGE
The main image of the magazine front cover is a picture
form. The movie as them people who have seen the movie
will Remember it and recognise what movie
it is from. The image is a memorable scene from ‘The Lord
of the Rings’ again this is so people can Familiarise
themselves with the movie and therefore what to read
about it. The costume of the actor is also representing
The movie and the prop the sward is reinforcing the fact
that it is from ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and fit with the genre
of the movie.
6. 6. BANNER
The Banner is designed to make the important text stand out and catch the readers eye. The banner is a black and yellow background with white and black writing. The text is short and simple with an image accompanying it to add more of a tease to the reader so that they will want to read on and therefore buy the magazine.
7. 7. MAIN SELL LINE
The main sell line is ‘LORD OF THE RINGS’ this is to catch the readers eye and reinforce the movie genre that the magazine is trying to promote. The writing is in red to match the same colour of the masthead so that it stands out against the rest of the cover lines. This also makes the reader want to find out more about what the magazine is trying to promote.
8. 8. SMALLER IMAGES
The smaller images are just there to tease the reader they usually go alongside some writing; which is correct in this case. This image is the image of some ones face and therefore he just has a simple and plain expression on his face which does not suggest anything to the reader so moreover they want to find out more about this story so they will want to buy the magazine.
9. 9. BARCODE
The barcode is there to add
realism to the magazine and is
there so that the magazine can be
bought.
10. 10. SELL LINES
The sell lines are used to create more interest for the reader and to make it more interesting and teasing them to what is inside the magazine. Also they are Related to the genre of the movie which is on the front cover. The sel lines are in white; keeping with the colour scheme for the magazine and are in bold if it more important and if not then it is not in bold. They are in a plain and easy to read text so that it make it easier for the reader to read because it of the image in the background.
13. 13. MAIN IMAGE
The main image of this magazine
Is of the main actress in sex in the
City which makes it easy for the
Reader to see what movie the
Magazine is promoting. The pose
that the actress is pulling is also a
pose that insinuates her personality
in the movie and therefore make it
more real for the reader that it is
‘Carrie’ of Sex in the City on the front cover not Sarah Jessica Parker (the actress).
14. 14. MASTHEAD
The masthead in this
magazine changes its colour to match what kind of
movie it is promoting. However the font of the
Masthead stays the same. This is to keep the continuity though each issue of the magazines so that it is made easier for the reader to find the magazine that they are looking for. The main image is infront of the magazine and therefore suggesting that the image important.
15. 15. COVER LINES
The title of the cover lines is the same
Colour of the mast head; this is to keep the
continuity throughout the magazine and it also
Makes the magazine look more professional.
The font is bold and easy to read for the reader.
Some of the important points of the cover lines
are in red, this is so that they stand out and catch
the readers eye immediately and they will want
to read on into the magazine as it is teasing the
reader by only giving them a little bit of
information.
16. 16. SMALLER IMAGES
The smaller images are there to tease
the reader as they are normally with some other text which suggests that it is from a story within the magazine and therefore makes the reader want to read on though the magazine. This image is of a woman’s head with some writing underneath which is suggesting a poster of another movie.
17. 17. BARCODE
The barcode is there to add realism to the magazine and is there so that the magazine can be bought.
18. 18. MAIN SELL LINE
The main sell line is relating the to the movie that the magazine is trying to promote. ‘Sex and the city’. The font is again bold and easy to read. This text must be important because it is in red and therefore catches the readers eye and makes the reader want to read on into the magazine to find out more about the story.
