2. lHonda silently discontinued the big hatch, Jazz from its portfolio
after it got busy with the launch of its entry-level sedan, Amaze.
lDiscontinuation of one of the highest selling global cars from one of
the largest automobile markets like India simply meant that there
was something better waiting.
lHonda recently has unveiled images of the 2014 Jazz, which is
known as Fit in US market, and this new car has grown both in size
and performance.

4. lThe new Honda Jazz, basically a global offering from Japanese
marque, has grown by about 50 mm in wheelbase and the sides
of the car now have bolder character lines extending till tail light
to give a stunning look.
lThe tailgate is decorated with chrome garnish which upholds the
brand logo. The rear bumper too is stylishly designed to look
more dynamic compared to older version of the car. The
company says that the new car has been benchmarked against
Volkswagen Polo.
lThe suspensions of the car have been modified to impart more
confidence in the driver through a low-height driving position.
Overall design also aids for better driving control in corners and
at high-speeds.

6. lComing to the powertrain, the Indian version of Honda Jazz is
expected to have 1.5L diesel engine which is derived out of Earth
Dreams technology of Honda. This fuel efficient engine has
already been introduced to Indians through Honda Amaze.
l A 1.2L petrol motor, which is zippy in performance, may also be
offered in the new car. Not many changes are seen in the design
of dashboard however the seats may get new upholstery to induce
dignity and comfortable feeling in interior space.
lFollowing the success of entry-level sedan, Amaze, an MPV is
also expected from the Japanese house. The Brio based MPV
may be unveiled at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo and may come on
Indian roads along with new Jazz by mid-2014.
