  3. 3. Introduction Wired LAN A group of PCs connect to a Switch or Hub through Ethernet cables. Data is transmitted over individual cables hence is more secure. Each client needs a Network card to connect. 100Mbps of dedicated bandwidth to individual desktops. Primary Network Technology Wireless LAN A Group of PCs get associated with a Wireless Access Point. Data is transmitted through radio waves, can be received by unintended recipients. Each client needs a Client adapter to connect. 54 Mbps of shared bandwidth per Access Point.
