Location for updates: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en- us;826942 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyI D=733dd867-56a0-4956-b7fe- e85b688b7f86&displaylang=en NOTE: PLEASE INSTALL THE ADAPTER SOFTWARE BEFORE YOU INSTALL YOUR USB ADAPTER INTO YOUR COMPUTER • Unpack and check contents of the box • Locate CD and insert into CD-ROM Drive. The CD will auto start You will be shown the main installation screen. • Click ‘Install’ 2

  • The intelligent mobile service You will be shown the Found New Hardware Wizard. • Select 'Install the software automatically (Recommended)' • Click Next You will now be prompted to select the best driver for your adapter. • Locate the driver from the CD (this is usually the top option, as shown above) • Click Next 6
  • The intelligent mobile service You will be shown the Driver Signature screen. • Click ‘Continue Anyway’ You will now be shown the Found New Hardware Complete screen. • Click Finish 7
  • The intelligent mobile service You will see an icon in your system tray and on your desktop. • Power on your BT Hub Double-click the icon in your system tray. • You will now be shown the Wireless Monitor screen. • Click Profile Setting 8
  • The intelligent mobile service • Click Add You will now be prompted to enter a profile name. • Enter the name of your BT Hub. This can be found on the base of your hub or in the documentation provided • Click Next 9

  • The intelligent mobile service You will be shown the Authentication Mode screen. • In Authentication Mode, select 'WPA-PSK' • In Input Method, select 'TKIP' • Click Next 11
  • The intelligent mobile service You will now be shown the following screen: • Enter the Network Key. This can be found on the base of your hub or in the documentation provided • Click Complete You will be taken back to the Profile Settings main screen. 12
  • The intelligent mobile service • Click Connect Ensure the BT Hub is powered on. • Press the “1” button on your hub to put the hub in pairing mode and enable the connection to your adapter. Once button one has been pressed, your hub will be in pairing mode for 2 minutes. You are now ready to browse the Internet. Go to a popular site to test the connection e.g. http://www.bbc.co.uk 13
