The Casio KL-780 allows you to easily organized files, label equipment or
office supplies, or print barcode labels for retail applications. The QWERTY
typewriter keyboard supplies easy access to three type styles and effects.
24 font sizes, 217 characters and symbols, and four tape sizes allow you
to easily adjust the final product to precisely suit your labeling needs.
Barcodes are available in either EAN 8 or EAN 13 styles. The thermal
transfer print process provides 200 dpi characters on your label tape and
the convenient 10-digit, two-line LCD screen allows you to double-check
your text before you print. The KL-780 has a 95-character memory and
offers mirror printing. It is powered by six AA batteries (not included) or an
optional adapter (available separately). Casio provides a one-year

I've used a couple inexpensive label machines - and like this one by far.
Full keyboard, pretty common sense function.
I was just shocked at the cartridge replacement price - $30 to $37 for two
cartridges ($15/ea!!).
The review mentioning wasted tape (machines print a lot of blank tape to
go with each label) is right on - but haven't found any that don't!
