  • 7. Saguaro Hotel set to reopen in February, featuring restaurant from celebrity chef Jose Garces.
  • 8. A new Air Traffic Control Tower at Palm Springs International Airport under construction.
  • 9. Start spreading the news about New York, New York!
  • 10. CareFusion stays in Palm Springs.
  • 11. Downtown Palm Springs experiences a revitalization highlighted by restaurant openings and remodels
  • 12. The new Coachella Valley iHub and CVEP Rabobank Regional Business Center are now open for business!
  • 13. The Palm Springs International Film Festival raises the success bar!
  • 14. New Homes are being built at Escena, The Morrison and Terra Vita. Many other stalled residential projects are beginning to be revived.

  • 16. The College of the Desert West Valley Campus had its ceremonial groundbreaking in May, 2011, and is finalizing the master planning and design in 2012. The first buildings will be open in Fall, 2014.
  • 17. Please bring a bag of locally collected citrus, a used pair of running shoes, or old cell phone to the event. Biodegradable cups of water will be provided at water stops, but please bring your own bottle to fill up after the race!
