HAAF Tax Office Marne Tax Centers are still Open: The Marne Tax Centers at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield are open now through April 25. The center is open to Active Duty Soldiers, Family Members, and retirees. The tax center provides FREE tax preparation services for both Federal and State returns. The tax preparers are IRS trained and certified and ready to prepare your returns. Taxpayers should bring ALL required documentation to the tax center, including any W2s, 1099s, 1098s, etc. They should also bring their military ID and a copy of their Social Security card or a memo from the Social Security Administration for the taxpayer, the spouse, and any dependents. Space is limited at the tax center facility. Returns can be prepared while you wait or as a drop-off; in each case, you will need tobring all documents and be in-processed by our staff. Drop-off returns may take 3-4 business days to process and you will need toreturn to the tax center to sign your return before it can be filed. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
