2. Attitude #1 - Preparation
You must be fully prepared for every single minute of your
day. When you are prepared, you are focused on what daily
action steps you must take to achieve your goals. You can
handle distractions and adversity better when you are
prepared. Unexpected things that come up during the day
don't automatically throw you into chaos, because your
preparation gives you the ability to handle it efficiently.
Preparation gives you the ability to focus on taking your
business to the next level and provide extreme customer
service. Preparation predicts prosperity in every area of
your life!
3. Attitude #2 - Dedication
Are you really dedicated to taking your life and
business to the next level? Dedication means that
you are fully committed to achieving success in
every area of your life. Yes, fully committed not
just Monday through Friday or whenever it's
convenient for you. When you are dedicated, you
are willing to pay the price for success and will not
let anything stand in the way. Preparation and
dedication are keys to building a rock-solid
foundation to overcome fear and earn millions.
4. Attitude #3 - First and Last Impression
Your first impression with your clients will basically
determine if they do business with you or not. It doesn't
matter whether you have an online business, storefront,
home-based business, or do phone sales. Your clients' first
impression is the point of entry into your business. It could
be your lobby, website, phone greeting, voice mail, or some
other type of employee interaction. Make sure that your
first impression exceeds your customers' expectations. Your
customers' last impression is just as important, because it's
the very last thing that they will remember when they leave
your business, hang up from a phone call, or exit your
website. Giving your customers a bonus when the exit your
business is a great last impression. It doesn't have to be
expensive. It could be a one-sheeter with valuable business
tips, a free download (online business), or something as
simple as a thank you or smile. Your first and last
impression are critical to building long-term customer
relationships and taking your business to the next
level.
5. Attitude #4 - Dress for Success
What do you look like to your customers and colleagues?
Are you dressed professionally head to toe and wearing a
name tag? Yes, a name tag. The Ritz-Carlton's customer
service is nothing less than *5* star so if they wear name
tags, then so should you and your team members. As far
as what you are wear, everyone feels better and are more
confident when they are dressed professionally. If you
feel better, then you treat your customers better. Plus
how you dress is a direct reflection of your business.
Dressing for success also includes having fresh breath or
no offensive body odor. Dressing for success is easy. Just
look in the mirror and if you still aren't sure, ask one of
your Mastermind Team Members to assist you.
6. Attitude #5 - Benefit Based Marketing
This is an area of marketing where many businesses fail.
While the features of your product and service are
important, how your product or service benefits your
customer is much more important. Every single one of
your customers want to know what you can do for them.
How will your product or service impact your customers'
life? If you don't know, then there's no way you can build
a successful business. Your marketing should convey
these benefits so that your customers have a reason to
enter into a business relationship with you. Plus make
sure to share your testimonials! Your customers want to
know the benefits, but they also want to hear from your
other customers. Start sharing the benefits of your
product and service and follow-up with testimonials.
This will radically change your life and business!
7. Attitude #6 - Always Be Opening
One of the worst mindsets that I see taught throughout
the sales and marketing industry is "Always Be Closing."
It's horrible! No one likes to be closed. That's the reason
that most people can't stand sales people. Instead
commit to the "Always Be Opening" mindset. Always be
opening basically means that you are committed to
opening long-term relationships with your customers
and providing extreme customer service. It's very
different from the Always Be Closing mindset in which
the focus is sell, sell, sell with no real consideration for
the customer. When you focus on building long-term
relationships with your customers, your customers not
only invest in your product or service, but they will also
come back and refer others. Always Be Opening!
8. Attitude #7 - Attention Grabbing Words
Your marketing must grab the attention of your
customers. How? The words that you use in your
marketing must speak directly to your customers and
give them a reason to visit your store, website, or
give you a call to find out more about your product or
service. If your marketing does not include attention
grabbing words, then your customers won't read it
and will likely go to your competitor. Not sure which
words to use? Check out my top marketing words at
www.FreeMarketingWords.com and start using
them in your marketing today.
9. Attitude #8 - Never Prejudge
Prejudging your customers will destroy your business.
This is not something new, but unfortunately 99% of
business owners still prejudge their customers. You
never know who will be your #1 customer, and most of
the time, your #1 customer does not fit the stereotype
that you have in your mind. Treat all of your customers
with respect and provide extreme customer service no
matter who they are, what they look like, or even if
they tell you that they can't afford your product or
service. Never prejudge!
10. Attitude #9 - Focused Listening
Do you really listen to what your customers want?
It's not about what you want as a business owner.
You will build a huge business if you focus on
listening to the wants and needs of your
customers and giving it to them. Listen more,
talk less, and learn about your customers. The
more you learn the more you earn.
11. Attitude #10 - Patient, Persistent Follow-Up
The point of sale with your customer is just the
first step in building a long-term relationship.
Your follow-up after the sale is more important.
Call your customer and let them know that you
are there for them. Send follow-up mailers with
bonus tips that your customers will value and
appreciate. Even if your customers don't call
you back or respond in any way, keep following
up so they know you are there for them. Patient,
Persistent Follow-Up!
12. Attitude #11 - Be You
Yes, it's really that easy! Be who God called you
to be and build your business based on your
integrity. Too often, business owners try to fit the
mold of who society tells them they should be
and how they should run their business. Be you!
Live a transparent lifestyle. Your customers will
appreciate your transparency and willingness to
be yourself. Once again...be you!
