  2. 2. One of the most important menthroughout history was GeorgeWashington. He isnt nicknamed"Father of His Country" for nothing.
  3. 3. The reason he got this nickname wasbecause he played a central and criticalrole in the founding of the UnitedStates. Although, there are otherimportant reasons for why GeorgeWashington was an important man inhistory.
  4. 4. George Washington was historicallysignificant because he wasCommander-in-Chief of the ContinentalArmy, he was the first president of theUnited States, and he affected futuregenerations.
  5. 5. One major reason why GeorgeWashington was historically significantis because he was the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army.
  6. 6. Because of Washingtons abilities as acommander, we were able to win theRevolutionary War. WithoutWashingtons help, we probably wouldhave lost the war.
  7. 7. As a result, we would have nevergained American Independence withouthis aid in the war. This shows whyGeorge Washington played a crucialrole in the Revolutionary War.
  8. 8. Another major reason why GeorgeWashington was historically significantis because he was the first president ofthe U.S.
  9. 9. As the first president of the U.S., hehelped establish modern democracy.He also stopped the continuing of theWhiskey Rebellion by leading federaltroops against it.
  10. 10. By doing so, he showed that the federalgovernment is not a force to be dealtwith. This shows how GeorgeWashington was important as the firstpresident of the U.S.
  11. 11. The last major reason for whyGeorge Washington was historicallysignificant is because of how heaffected future generations. WhileWashington was president, he denied athird term of presidency.
  12. 12. By doing so, the presidents that cameafter him followed his example ofsaying to no great power and took onlytwo terms of presidency.
  13. 13. Washington also set a good examplefor future people to be inspired to belike him. This shows how Washingtonhad a great impact on futuregenerations.
  14. 14. I believe that George Washingtonwas a very historically significant man.Some examples of his historicalsignificance would be when he helpedwin the Revolutionary War , establishmodern democracy, and the amount oftime a president can keep his title.
  15. 15. As a result, George Washington is aname that will be remembered as theman who was of great importance.Without him,we would not haveAmerican independence and our livestoday would be different in many ways.
  16. 16. George Washington was a man ofgreat integrity, intelligence, loyalty andhe is a great example of a goodAmerican citizen.
