MARYS, WATFORD, HERTFORD, ENGLAND Death Date: 15 Jun 1930 Death Place: Troutdale, Multnomah, Oregon (near Portland, Oregon) The parish church of St Mary the Virgin, Watford, Hertfordshire, England was built in 1230 on the same site as an earlier Saxon church During 1866 Thomas Joseph Peacock, along with his parents and two sisters, emigrated from England to the USA with their destination being Smithfield, Utah. His living brothers and sisters had emigrated earlier. Departed: England: 6 Jun 1866, Ship: “St Mark” Arrived: SLC, Utah: 5 Oct 1866 with A.H. Scott Co Refer to the histories of his parents, William Peacock& Phyllis Hyom, for details of their immigration.
  • 2. We do not have history of Thomas Joseph Peacock, however we believe he appeared in several Census records which give us some idea of his life.   • 3. As a teamster he could have traveled between Smithfield, Utah and Blackfoot, Idaho and ended up appearing on the 1880 Census twice.
