Reflections <ul><li>What worked and why: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Day care centres worked good, youngsters are very young and interested in Internet, ICT and social software </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Working on employability is easy and young people have direct results of their actions. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>What did not work and why not: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Don’t be to fast and don’t put pressure on the youngsters or they will not cooperate. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Very difficult to convince the staff (they don’t like ‘COMPUTERS’) The computers says NO </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>ICT skills of staff very poor, lot’s of training needed </li></ul></ul>
  10. 10. Tools evaluation <ul><li>Comments and evaluation of tools used: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Using the free software NING gives the annoying Google adds. (example: find your Russian partner, etc…) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Not completly suitable for social work, adaptation of the software is to complex for social organisations </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Even Ning needs training for staff. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Existing tools Netlog, Facebook problems with privacy. Impossible for Special Youth care organisations </li></ul></ul>
