  • 1. Professional development - using Elluminate / Blackboard Collaborate Multimedia for learning.
    The virtual room interface is changing with BbCollaborate11. Some functions are accessed differently. However content & “how to” processes are essentially the same.
  • 2. What would YOU like to “take-away” today?
  • 3. The session will be led by what YOU want to know & will also include:
    • Using the Multimedia Library
    • 4. Video formats supported
    • 5. Appropriate video file sizes and lengths
    • 6. Converting video to appropriate size and format (using a free downloadable converter) – you will be able to try this out through my desktop

    • 18. Bit rate: Maximum around 1000 kbs
    • 19. Run-time: Maximum 2 minutes per video no more than 10 minutes per session

    converters – useful to convert formats & sizes

  • 20. If the video you want to use is on the Internet
    You MUST check Copyright/Creative Commons to be sure you are permitted to do what you plan
    Especially with respect to keeping the modified video for re-use
  • 21. When you play a video from the Internet it will be temporarily stored on your computer in the cache
    You can access videos in the cache with a Video Cache Viewer such as:
