  3. 3. GSM Global system for mobiles(GSM) technology is used to establish cellular connection GSM is a digital cellular communication system It is used for transmitting mobile voice and data services
  4. 4. GPS GPS(Global Positioning System) GPS is used to trace the position GPS Receiver gets the location information from satellites
  5. 5. MEMS MEMS(microelectromechanical system) is a technique of combining electrical and mechanical component together on a chip The device typically converts measured mechanical signals into electrical signals
  6. 6. ABSTRACT MEMS Sensor used to detect abrupt vibration when an accident occurs Detection and messaging system composed of a GPS receiver, microcontroller and GSM modem GSM modem sends message to the predefined mobile number

  11. 11. GSM MODEM GSM modem is used to send information collected from GPS module along with other details to a specific mobile number
  12. 12. GPS MODULE GPS module always receives the information from satellites regarding the position of the place where the accident occurs.
  13. 13. MEMS CHIP Whenever any accident occurs MEMS chip detects and sends electrical signal to the ADC channel of the PIC microcontroller
  14. 14. POWER SUPPLY Power supply unit provides regulated 5v power The power supply circuit consists of a bridge rectifier which is then passed on to the regulator through a filter circuit
  15. 15. MAX 232 MAX 232 is an dual driver / receiver It is used to convert the TTL logic level to RS232 logic levels during serial communication if microcontrollers with PC

  18. 18. WORKING Whenever accident occurs MEMS sensor detect and sends electrical signal to the ADC channel of the PIC microcontroller By using GPS , we get particular location where accident occurs,then GSM modem sends message to authorized mobile number
  19. 19. CONTD.. The GPS positioning is done in the form of latitude and longitude along with the exact location of the place by making Google maps
  20. 20. ADVANTAGES The immediate medication will be provided to the accident victims in the remote areas Mobile number can be changed at any time
  21. 21. DISADVANTAGES In some places where there is no provision of GSM networks it is difficult for communication
  22. 22. APPLICATIONS & FUTURE SCOPE Automotive Security System This system can be interfaced with Vehicle Airbag System This can also be developed by interconnecting a camera to the controller module that takes the photograph of the accident spot that makes tracking easier
