    • What are Our Objectives
      • Hands on business experience by interning at an entrepreneurial company in Beijing.
      • Experience the topics discussed in the classes for the Minor in Entrepreneurship (ex- strategy, marketing, writing a business plan, finances...) in action during their internship.
      • Each student will have different personal objectives for their internship experience (ex- some are interested in finance, others are interested in social entrepreneurship...).

      • Who is coming
        • Approx 20 UNC Chapel Hill undergrads in the Entrepreneurship Minor. 
        • Students will not have a background in Chinese language. 
        • Age 18-24
    • When, where
      • 8 weeks in Beijing
      • June 6th – July 29th 2011
      • Study
        • First week will be all courses (intro to Chinese language and culture and their entrepreneurship course) and an orientation to Beijing. 
      • Internships (subject to final confirmation)
        • w/c June 6 th: Monday -Thursday
        • w/c June 13 th to w/c June 27 th Monday - Friday
        • w/c July 4th to w/c 25 th July: Monday - Wednesday
      • Based at International Dorm of Capital Normal University

      • What Do We Look for
        • Students intern at a company that is entrepreneurial.
        • Company provides real work
        • Selection criteria
          • Company with minimum of 10 staff members
          • Actively involved China business community
          • Established in China for more than 2 years
          • Fully funded
          • Availability of founder to mentor intern
          • Willingness to complete end of program evaluation

      • Student engagement
        • Students will be required to write a case study based on their internship experience.
        • Students to keep a blog / journal of their internship experience that they can use as field notes for their case study .
