    • En inglés hay dos tipos de verbos principales Verbos auxiliares:  Auxiliares básicos be / have / do  Modales can / must / will / would / could / have to … Verbos léxicos:  Regulares pasado simple y participio en –ed ; ej: work, play, ...  Irregulares con significado propio; ej: eat, drive, sleep, ...
    • Verbos auxiliares Son los que auxilian a los verbos léxicos ...  En la formación de tiempos compuestos: be y have I am writing I have finished  Para hacer la negativa o la interrogativa: do I don´t like it  Aportando matices (verbos modales):  Can: indica habilidad, ej: I can sing  Must: obligación, ej: You must go  etc
    • Verbos léxicos Tienen significado propio. Hay dos tipos:  Regulares: pasado simple y participio en –ed play / played / played  Irregulares:  Las tres formas iguales cut / cut / cut  Las tres formas diferentes drive / drove / driven  Dos formas iguales think / thought / thought
