  • 1. Tie Dye Experiment!!!
    By Jessica Skelly
  • 2. To Begin....
I did an experiment on Tie Dying and got a perfect ending result. Through this slide I will show you briefly the steps I used. Feel free to try an experiment of your own, it is great fun!

  • 3. Firstly I collected the items required
  • 4. Then Planned The Pattern
Then applied the rubber bands as planned!
  • 5. Then filled the washing machine with hot water
We added Dye, the water turned dark purple!
  • 6. .... Then the material and salt
    <= Fabric ( Pink )
    The Saxa salt
  • 7. We let it soak for just over an hour. (The longer the better the effect and colour)
Then let the water clean out. Luckily the machine wasn't stained purple!
  • 8. We washed it a few times until the water ran clear! The bands were then taken off and it was rinsed once more.
  • 9. This is what it then looked like!
  • 10. The new tie dyed fabric sarong was hung out and dried over night.
By morning the effect was perfect!
  • 11. ( From the front)
It turned out better than imagined!
    (From the back)
