    • • 1. Train – “Hey Soul Sister”• 2. The Script – “Breakeven”• 3. Katy Perry ft Snoop Dogg – “California Gurls”• 4. Adam Lambert – “Whataya Want From Me”• 5. Lady Gaga – “Bad Romance”
    • I think that this is one of the top 5 musicvideos of 2011, because it is an abstract, fun and energetic video and would attracta teenage and young adult audience. The song portrays teenage emotions, and can relate to them. This is due to teenagers feeling like they can be in relationshipsthat are bad for them. Although the video is seen to be ‘weirdbut cool’ there is an deeper meaning to it.The main idea behind the video is that of Gaga gettingkidnapped by a group of supermodels who drug her, andthen sell her off to the Russian mafia for a million rubles. It takes place in a fluorescent white bathhouse.
    • I believe this video appeals to awide audience. As it tells a story ofhim arguing with his partner and teenagerswill be able to relate as they argue with afamily/friends/partners. Also it appeals to older ages as itis a simplistic video but also catchy at the same time. The video features Lambert becoming frustrated withhis partner (which the audience cannot see). Thereare also performance clips throughout the video ofLambert performing with his band. One scene featuresLambert making his way through a crowd of paparazziand fans into a car.
    • I believe this video appeals to teenagers as it’s a fun, enthusiastic and different style. This appeals to both boys and girls. It appeals to girls as they want to look as good as Katy Perry and be as skinny as her. On the other hand, it appeals to boys as they all want to see Katy Perry in revealing clothes. In the music video, Perry is a game piece inCandyfornia, a game based in poker and boardgames. The settings are inspired in part by AlicesAdventures in Wonderland, Charlie and theChocolate Factory, and the board game Candy Land, with much of the set decorated with cupcakes, icecreams, cotton candy, and lollipops.
    • I think that the video appeals to the target audience as it is a narrative and if teenagers are watching music videos they want something that they can relate and understand. The music video shows clips of the bands homecity of Dublin, Ireland and the band performing. Itshows Danny and another girl acting, as if theyhave just broken up, and clips of Danny justsinging in a shot on his own, in the style of a voxpop (looking away from the camera)
    • I believe this video appeals to a wideraudience as it a narrative and has the lyrics inthe video so if people are watching at homethey can sing along and it shows all membersof the band The video was filmed in front of Chango Coffee at the corner of Morton Ave and Echo Park Ave in Echo Park, Los Angeles, California. The video intercuts images of Train singing with a woman walking around her apartment and a man painting the words to the song on the landscape.
