I-45 S.T.R.E.A.M. Information Night

  1. 1. Welcome to I-45 Information Night! In the middle of your table group are small slips of paper- if you have questions, please write them down, please don’t forget to write your name/email – Dinner - spaghetti and meatballs – by a world famous chef, will be served for the I-45 Team at approximately 6:00 p.m. All children, should be downstairs, participating with our UCF science buddies!

  7. 7. Wonder… Brainstorm.. Take a few minutes, tour your house and ask: How does the TV work? How does a microwave work? Why does day and night occur? How could I make this work Why does our bread turn green? Why do my plants die? Why do my baseball pants never get clean? better?
  8. 8. Now, what.. After you have opened up – THINKING – see if you can help your child narrow down their thoughts for a science project.
  9. 9. Help your child – Ask a Question… How does temperature affect the growth of mold? Do different colored lights affect the growth of plants? Does warm water clean better than cold water? Would metal work better for a crane than plastic?
