 Federal territories of Kuala Lumpur (KL) has the
 highest proportion of employees working in office
 environment

 To understand the affect workplace layout and
 symbolism has on Job performance of employees

  This study emphasizes on workplace layout,
  symbolism towards the Job performance level of
  employees in KL

     affect the level of job performance among

     employees in KL?

     employees in KL?
4.   What is the level of job performance among

     symbolism and their summation score towards

Significance of the study

1.   Studying the impact of workplace layout and
     symbolism on job performance can help
     designers to design a productive environment for
     employees
2.   This area of research is not carried out in Malaysia
3.   Number of employees working in offices is high in
     Kuala Lumpur

Limitations of the study

1.   Only two organizations from same industry
2.   Cannot be generalized

  • 3. Object To understand the affect workplace layout and symbolism has on Job performance of employees Linkage This study emphasizes on workplace layout, symbolism towards the Job performance level of employees in KL 3

Contains large numbers of workspaces (Brill et al.,2001 cited in Haynes, 2008) 8
