  • 4. The iRead Project Escondido Union School District has been using the iPod touch in the classroom for the iRead Project .      
  • 5. Setting up
      • Download and install the latest version of iTunes from
      • Connect iPod touch to a USB 2.0 port on your Mac or PC using the cable that came
      • with iPod touch.
      • Follow the onscreen instructions in iTunes to register iPod touch and sync iPod touch

      • You can use your own personal account.
      • Sign up without using a credit card

  • 7. Downloading and Installing Apps
    •   From the iTouch
        • Tap the price (or tap Free), then tap Buy Now.
        • Sign in to your account as requested, then tap OK.
        • After you begin downloading and application, its icon appears on your Home screen and shows the status of the download and installation.

    • From iTunes
      • Open iTunes on your computer
      • Go to the iTunes Store
      • Click App Store up at the top to view featured apps or to find apps by categories
      • Search store and filter by media type apps 
      • All iPhone apps work for the iTouch 
      • Click free or price to download app

      • Power up and turning off, volume, and home buttons
      • Utilities, Clock, and Camera
      • Apps already installed, moving pages
      • Double click the home (the square)to see: apps open, itunes, volume, hold on one to shut down apps to save power.

      • Download SonicPics Lite
      • Interview 3 people you do not know(name, school, grade level)
      • Find your saved images in your Photos
      • Import 3 images in SonicPics Lite
      • Drag your images to change their order
      • When ready, click record to narrate the movie. As you narrate (include info about the person) you can move to the next image and keep speaking by sliding your finger over the image from left to right.
      • When you're finished, save and preview the movie
