We need a shipping & receiving clerk and social media
marketing strategist in one talented individual

2. Who are Soundzdirect?
• Soundzdirect Ltd. is an eCommerce retail company selling
a range of goods including headphones and other audio
equipment, accessories for smartphones, laptop, tablet,
eReader and camera.
• We sell on multiple online marketplaces including
Amazon, eBay and our own websites
• The UK is our biggest market
• We process and ship orders 3 times a week minimum
• We have an existing staff of 5
• We are currently making plans to expand into another
online marketplace with a new range of products

3. What Does the Job Involve?
The role is multi-faceted and will mainly involve:
• processing orders for shipping
• receiving and processing new stock
• doing mail runs or arranging courier collections
• answering customer questions by email
• working with spreadsheets
• content management on website
• writing and editing original content for social media
• planning and executing digital marketing campaigns
• implementing a project management system for social
media and other tasks using Basecamp or similar

4. What Kind of Person Can Do this Job?
The ideal candidate will:
• Be fully computer and internet literate
• Have a professional interest in online retail
• Have a high standard of communication, writing and editing
skills
• Excel at paying attention to detail
• Have relevant experience in social media marketing across
multiple social channels
• Be keen to increase knowledge base and expand their skills
• Be able to plan and implement a social media marketing
campaign
• Work well on own initiative but also as a team member

5. What Qualifications Do I Need?
You don’t need a specific qualification as long as you have
the skills and experience required to do the job. As a
general guideline, the following areas would be relevant to
this position:
Journalism
Blogging or other Online Media
Social Media Marketing
Supply Chain Work
General Admin Work – spreadsheets, data entry etc.
Customer Service

6. What Else are you Looking For?
Social media experience is preferred,
but appropriate off-site training can be made available.
Experience in an eCommerce environment would be great,
but we will offer on-the-job training for our systems
A full clean driver’s licence and access to a car for mail
runs, while not essential would be an advantage.
